MEETING OF THE SOMALI NATIONAL ANTI-MONEY LAUNDERING COMMITTEE (NAMLC)
The members of NAMLC held their quarterly meeting on 11th May 2021 at the Ministry of Finance in Mogadishu. NAMLC has the oversight responsibility of the AML/CFT regime in Somalia, while the Financial Reporting Center (FRC) is the comprehensive regulator responsible for the AML/CFT regulations and National Risk Assessment, the Minister of Finance Chaired the meeting with the Director of the FRC acting as Secretariat.
The committee approved the concept paper presented by the Financial Reporting Center (FRC) proposing the formulation of the NAMLC Taskforce.
